Director of Design

As a highly accomplished American with international experience architect, published designer, project and program manager and leader in the profession, Thierry Paret brings a wealth of diverse experience leading

multidisciplinary teams as well as complex organizations to attain excellence. He is motivated by an enduring drive for excellence in all aspects of the profession.

Having successfully designed and managed significant public and private projects in the US, Europe and the Middle East in multiple market sectors, Mr. Paret has demonstrated exemplary leadership through his design abilities and strong understanding of the processes required to develop and deliver quality projects and programs such as he did in his role as Campus/Lead Architect for projects across multiple market sectors such as the world leading research institute KAUST; as well as Design Advisor for the Qatari Government’s National Public Works Authority multi billion dollar program including market sectors such as education, healthcare and government/municipal typologies. In addition Mr.

Paret role as lead design architect and senior project managers in firms also demonstrated his strong design, management skills and leadership qualities.

Mr. Paret is known for his strong communications skills, strong design capabilities, high profile in the industry, depth of contacts through his global network, impeccable values and ethics, integrity, ability to increase an organization’s visibility and relevance continue to yield positive benefits for clients and firms that he has worked for. With a strong track record in the profession, Mr. Paret is a distinguished Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) ‐ the highest honor bestowed on members. He is also a member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and is a registered architect in the USA, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and holds a LEED AP certificate. Mr. Paret is a passionate advocate for the profession and has served as the founding President of the AIA Middle East Chapter, Director/Officer on the National Board of the American Institute of Architects and is the current President of the AIA International Region. Mr. Paret has also served on multiple AIA Committees including Membership, Community, Education and International Practice. He was also appointed in 2018 by AIA President Thomas Vonier, FAIA to be a juror for the selection of the AIA Gold Medal and National firm of the year.
